Excellent healthcare comes at a price, especially for those who don’t have medical insurance where Children’s Hospital rates range from $995 for an Emergency Room visit, to $7,133 per day for inpatient ward, and $13,665 per day for Intensive Care. Make sure you arrange for coverage whether you’re a new resident (facing the 3-month wait period), or a visitor to Canada.
